she was my classmate in sec 3 and 4. sat in the row behind me. always had a low belt. btu she was no pai kia. instead, she was a bubbly gal, who was nice to everyone and had a cheerful laughter.

we went to jc together, tho we kinda lost contact, although we attended the same sch everyday. we only said hi whenever we met once in a while, in that small, cosy sch. as everyone buried our heads amidst the books for the final fate-deciding cambridge exams, everyone was too absorbed to notice anything going on.

and this was when this fren realised some discomfort. she brushed them aside, jus like how we brush a pain in our shoulders, or the tiredness of the eyes, where there are more impt things like the exams.

only after the exams did she go for a thorough checkup. and found out she had tongue cancer. and only did i find out, from teh newspapers, where she was featured in a christmas edition.

her condition was under control. until she discovered she had skin cancer, supposedly stage 4. supposedly admitted in icu recently, but my fren clarified taht she wasn't. supposedly has less than a year. supposedly there is a new medicine, which costs $100 a pill, which she takes once a day, which may prolong her life.

her frens have been goign down to rgs to do a presentation to teh rgs gals to raise funds. they also set up a booth during ORA to raise funds. puee has also been trying to reach her family to offer what lil help we may.

sometimes money can't buy us everything. not the choice whetehr to live or die. not the choice whetehr to be happy or sad. not the choice whetehr u can offer help or not.

do not doubt ourself-worth. we are worth as much as we see ourselves. easy for me to say right? but the self-confidence one exudes is worth more than one who hides behind a facade.

my fren is joan chan shu fang. if u have any idea on how to help, pls lemme know. tho i think the only way we can help right now is to hope for the best for her.
